INDIANAPOLIS — Majestic Care, a regional nursing home operator with facilities across the Midwest, has unveiled a new initiative designed to fast-track technology adoption across its portfolio, signaling a growing industry focus on operational efficiency and resident engagement.

The program, dubbed Pilot Six, will test six emerging technologies across select facilities over the next 18 months. The initiative targets areas including electronic health record integration, predictive analytics for resident care, automated medication management, and digital communication platforms for families.

Company executives say the pilot reflects a strategic bet that technology can help address persistent challenges facing the sector, from workforce shortages to regulatory compliance. Majestic Care operates more than 30 skilled nursing facilities in Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.

The announcement comes as nursing home operators increasingly explore technology solutions to streamline operations and improve care outcomes. Industry analysts note that while many facilities have adopted basic electronic systems, the pace of innovation has lagged other healthcare sectors.

Majestic Care has partnered with several technology vendors for the pilot, though specific company names were not disclosed. The operator plans to evaluate each technology based on metrics including staff adoption rates, resident satisfaction scores, and operational cost impacts.

If successful, the company intends to roll out proven technologies across its entire portfolio. The initiative also includes training programs designed to help staff adapt to new systems and workflows.

The Pilot Six program reflects broader industry trends as nursing home operators seek to modernize in the face of mounting competitive and regulatory pressures.
