Long-Term Care Veteran to Lead Organization Following Dornberger’s Passing
The National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long-Term Care (NADONA) has selected Cindy Fronning as its new Executive Director. Fronning, previously the organization’s Director of Education, assumes leadership following the unexpected passing of Sherrie Dornberger.
Dornberger’s loss is a significant setback for NADONA. However, the organization has demonstrated its resilience by appointing a seasoned leader to fill the void. Fronning’s extensive experience in long-term care, coupled with her deep knowledge of clinical reimbursement and certification, makes her a strong choice to guide NADONA forward.
A Proven Leader Takes the Helm
Fronning’s career in long-term care spans over four decades. She has held various roles, including nursing assistant, Director of Nursing, and corporate consultant. This diverse background equips her to address the complex challenges facing long-term care nursing.
As Executive Director, Fronning aims to expand NADONA’s educational offerings and strengthen certification processes. By investing in the development of nursing leaders, she seeks to elevate the quality of care delivered in long-term and post-acute settings.
Building on a Strong Foundation
NADONA, with a rich history spanning over several decades, has established itself as a leading authority in long-term care nursing. The organization’s commitment to education, advocacy, and training has earned it widespread respect.
Robin Arnicar, NADONA Board President, expressed confidence in Fronning’s ability to carry on Dornberger’s legacy. “Cindy’s passion for nursing leadership and her deep understanding of NADONA make her the ideal person to lead us into the future,” said Arnicar.
As Fronning takes the helm, the healthcare community looks forward to seeing how she will shape NADONA’s future. Her leadership will be crucial as the long-term care industry continues to evolve.
